Description
Series 1976 two-dollar Federal Reserve Note from the New York district, featuring the familiar portrait of Thomas Jefferson on the obverse and the engraving of the Declaration of Independence on the reverse. The note carries the green Treasury seal along with the district seal for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (marked B2), standard for this series and denomination.
Serial number B32922346A appears twice on the face in green ink, flanking the Jefferson portrait, with the treasurer and secretary signatures of Francine A. Neff and William E. Simon printed beneath. The note is currently housed in a plastic sleeve, with a small paper tag numbered “0021” affixed near the upper left corner for inventory or lot-tracking purposes.
The note shows light overall handling wear consistent with its age, including soft corner rounding and faint creasing across the surface, but no tears, holes, or heavy staining are visible. Coloring remains crisp, with the green ink and black engraving both well defined.
