Crisp green ink and Thomas Jefferson’s portrait anchor this United States two-dollar bill, a Series 1976 Federal Reserve Note issued from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The note carries the green Treasury seal and legal tender clause on its face, while the reverse features the engraved reproduction of John Trumbull’s Declaration of Independence, one of the more recognizable back designs in American currency.

The note is stamped with district letter B for New York and carries the matching serial number B17463188A printed twice on the face. The Treasurer of the United States signature reads Francine I. Neff, paired with Secretary of the Treasury William E. Simon, both period-correct for the 1976 series. Standard Bureau of Engraving and Printing borders, denomination counters, and seal work are all present and clearly legible.

The bill shows genuine circulation wear, including overall toning and yellowing that is heavier along the edges, a visible vertical fold line running through the center of the note, and light corner softening consistent with handling.
