United States one-dollar Silver Certificate from Series 1957 B, featuring the familiar portrait of George Washington centered on the obverse and the Great Seal motifs – the pyramid and eagle – on the reverse. Printed in blue seal ink with the serial number X25564676A appearing twice on the face, this note certifies silver on deposit in the U.S. Treasury and was legal tender for all debts, public and private, at the time of issue.
The note carries the printed signatures of Kathryn O’Hay Granahan as Treasurer of the United States and C. Douglas Dillon as Secretary of the Treasury, along with the Washington, D.C. district designation and plate check letters G4 and G783. The reverse displays the standard green ONE DOLLAR design with “IN GOD WE TRUST” centered above the seal and pyramid vignettes.
The note shows genuine circulation wear consistent with its age, including light toning around the edges, a soft vertical center fold, and minor surface handling creases. Corners remain intact with no tears, and the printing and serial numbers stay crisp and fully legible throughout.
