Description
Crisp blue-seal design anchors this United States one-dollar Silver Certificate, printed in the Series 1935F issue. The obverse carries the familiar portrait of George Washington framed in an oval, flanked by the bold blue serial number B09460278J and the blue Treasury seal reading “Washington D.C.” The reverse displays the classic green ornamental design featuring the Great Seal of the United States, including the eagle and the pyramid with the all-seeing eye, printed in the standard deep green ink used on notes of this era.
The note bears the printed signatures of Ivy Baker Priest, Treasurer of the United States, and Robert B. Anderson, Secretary of the Treasury, both appearing in the lower signature blocks. Plate letter “F” appears near the portrait, with plate number F8372 printed at lower right on the face. The note reads “This certifies that there is on deposit in the Treasury of the United States of America one dollar in silver payable to the bearer on demand,” consistent with Silver Certificate issues of the period.
The note shows the toning and soft handling typical of a circulated bill of this vintage, with light overall discoloration and gentle creasing visible across the surface. Corners remain intact without significant rounding, and the paper stock has held together well with no tears or missing pieces. A small paper price tag is affixed to a protective sleeve shown in one photo and is not part of the note itself.
