Description
United States one-dollar Silver Certificate from the mid-20th century, printed with the classic large blue Treasury seal and blue serial numbers on cream-toned paper. The obverse carries the familiar portrait of George Washington centered within an ornate engraved border, flanked by the words “ONE” and framed by the phrase “This Certifies That There Is On Deposit In The Treasury Of The United States Of America One Dollar In Silver Payable To The Bearer On Demand.” Series 1957A is printed beneath the seal, with the signatures of the Treasurer of the United States and the Secretary of the Treasury reproduced along the lower portion of the note.
The reverse displays the traditional green ink design featuring the Great Seal of the United States with the heraldic eagle on one side and the pyramid with the all-seeing eye on the other, along with the motto “In God We Trust” across the center. Matching serial number N33012911A appears twice on the obverse in blue ink, and a small district letter and check number are printed near the lower left corner. The note has been placed in a protective plastic sleeve for handling and display.
The note shows light, even circulation wear consistent with age, including gentle handling creases and mild toning to the paper stock. Corners remain sharp with no significant tears, holes, or heavy staining visible. Overall the piece presents cleanly for a note of this vintage.
