Description
United States one-dollar Silver Certificate printed on paper currency stock, featuring the portrait of George Washington centered on the obverse within an ornate engraved frame. The blue Treasury seal appears to the right of the portrait, with matching blue serial numbers reading M30108083A printed at upper right and lower left of the face.
The note carries the printed signatures of Elizabeth Rushmore Smith as Treasurer of the United States and C. Douglas Dillon as Secretary of the Treasury, with the series designation and plate numbers B1 and B694 printed along the borders. The reverse displays the traditional green ink design, including the Great Seal of the United States with the eagle and shield on the right and the pyramid with the all-seeing eye on the left, bordered by the phrases “In God We Trust” and “The United States of America.”
The note shows notable circulation wear, including a small tear at the bottom center edge, visible creasing and fold lines across the face and back, mild toning and discoloration consistent with age, and a small burn or scorch mark near the lower portion of Washington’s portrait. A paper price tag reading “0081” is affixed to the face of the note in one photo.
