Series 1976 two-dollar Federal Reserve Note featuring the familiar portrait of Thomas Jefferson on the obverse and an engraving of the Declaration of Independence on the reverse. Issued as legal tender for all debts, public and private, the note carries the standard $2 denomination markings in each corner along with the ornate scrollwork typical of federal currency design.
