Description

Heavy hand-blown art glass vase built in the Sommerso technique, with a rich green glass core encased in a layer of golden amber and finished in clear crystal. The tall, tapering form narrows to a slim oval mouth and sits on a faceted, diamond-cut base, with the multi-layered color bands visible through every angled panel of the glass.

The body is cut into bold geometric facets on all sides, a hallmark of mid-century Italian glass design, with the angled panels acting almost like a prism to refract the internal color layers. The glass is solid and substantial in the hand, with no manufacturer’s mark, label, or signature visible on the piece.

The vase presents in clean condition with no chips or cracks noted on the faceted edges or rim. Small internal bubbles and minor striations are visible within the glass body, consistent with hand-blown manufacture rather than damage.
