Description
Series 1976 two-dollar Federal Reserve Note featuring Thomas Jefferson on the face and an engraving of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on the reverse. The note carries a green Treasury seal and green serial numbers, with serial number B21145506A and district letter B, indicating issue from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
The face bears the printed signatures of Francine I. Neff, Treasurer of the United States, and William E. Simon, Secretary of the Treasury, along with the standard legal tender statement. The reverse displays the full Declaration of Independence scene bordered by “TWO DOLLARS” banners and “IN GOD WE TRUST.” The note is currently housed in a protective plastic sleeve with a small paper tag numbered 0060 tucked alongside it.
The note shows light overall toning and a faint mellowing to the paper consistent with age, with no tears, holes, or heavy creasing visible. Corners remain sharp and the printing is clean and well-registered on both sides.
