Series 1976 Two Dollar Federal Reserve Note

Series 1976 two-dollar Federal Reserve Note featuring the familiar Thomas Jefferson portrait on the face and an engraving of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on the reverse. Printed in the classic black-and-green color scheme used for this series, the note carries the green Treasury seal and the standard “This Note Is Legal Tender for All Debts, Public and Private” inscription.

The note is stamped with District letter B, identifying it as issued through the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and carries serial number B00193679A repeated in green ink at both top-right and bottom-left corners. Printed signatures of Francine A. Neff, Treasurer of the United States, and William E. Simon, Secretary of the Treasury, appear along the lower portion of the face.

The note shows genuine circulation wear, including light creasing and toning consistent with age and handling.
