Description
United States two-dollar Federal Reserve Note, Series 1976, featuring Thomas Jefferson’s portrait on the face and an engraving of the Declaration of Independence signing on the reverse. The note carries the green Treasury seal along with the printed motto “In God We Trust” beneath the vignette.
The note is drawn on the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, indicated by the “B” district seal and matching B4 block numbers in the corners. Serial number B61967508A appears in green ink in both top-right and bottom-left corners, with the printed signatures of Francine I. Neff, Treasurer of the United States, and William E. Simon, Secretary of the Treasury. The note is currently housed in a protective plastic sleeve with a paper price tag numbered 0039 affixed for display.
The note shows light overall handling wear consistent with age, including mild toning along the edges and a soft vertical crease visible when viewed in the sleeve. Corners remain intact and the printing is crisp and legible throughout, with no tears or significant creasing observed.
