Description
This vintage cocktail ring centers an oval, high-polish black stone disc with an open cutout in the middle, through which three slender gold-tone bars rise to support a heart-shaped cluster of pavé-set clear faceted stones. Flanking the heart are two rectangular panels, also in white-toned metal and set with matching small round clear stones, creating a striking symmetrical composition against the black stone frame. The ring is built on a tapered gold-tone shank that widens smoothly into the decorative top, making it a substantial statement piece for the hand.
Construction combines yellow gold-tone metal for the shank and internal support bars with a contrasting white-toned metal used for the heart and rectangular accent settings, giving the piece a two-tone look typical of retro design work. No manufacturer’s mark, hallmark, or purity stamp is visible in the photos provided. The black stone disc is friction-fit within the gold-tone mounting, with the pierced center allowing the diamond-look cluster to sit forward of the stone.
The gold-tone shank shows scattered dark discoloration and tarnish spots along the interior and lower band, consistent with age and wear from handling. The black stone disc presents clean, glossy surfaces with no major chips visible along the edges. All stone settings in the heart and rectangular clusters appear intact, with no obviously missing stones.
