Description
Die-cast metal stock car model finished in a bold blue-and-red livery, built to replicate a NASCAR Winston Cup entry running as car number 16. The body is molded with a raised rear spoiler, a mesh window net over the driver’s side, and a detailed roll cage and engine block visible through the open cockpit windows. Black rubber tires with painted rims and a lowered racing stance complete the presentation, and the car is displayed on a rectangular clear acrylic case with a black base, ideal for shelf display.
Sponsor graphics cover the body, led by large PRIMESTAR lettering and logo on the rear quarter panels and deck lid, paired with The Family Channel emblem on the roof, hood, and rear panel. A Ford oval badge appears on the nose and rear fascia, with “THUNDERBIRD” lettering stamped along the front air dam. Smaller decals for period sponsors and suppliers — Goodyear, True Value, Gatorade, Western Auto, Simpson, MOOG, 3M, Bosch, and others — run along the lower rocker panels and quarter panels, consistent with a fully sponsored late-1990s Winston Cup paint scheme.
The model presents in solid played-with condition with only light, scattered surface wear consistent with careful handling and display — no major paint chips or cracked panels are evident. The display case shows some light dust and a couple of small spots on the lid interior, and the mounting suction cup on the case top is intact.
