Description
Grimoldi Milano presents this striking oval-cased wristwatch, its elongated stainless steel case giving the piece a distinctly architectural, mid-century Italian design sensibility. The black dial is fitted with bold, stepped rectangular hour markers arranged in an asymmetric pattern, paired with sculptural leaf-shaped hands and a small date aperture. The crown sits at the edge of the case, and the watch is fitted to a black crocodile-embossed leather strap with a steel pin buckle.
The dial is signed “Grimoldi Milano” beneath the leaf hands, and the steel case back is engraved with additional maker information: “Design Italiano Giorgio Grimoldi,” the model designation “Bongonovo 1738,” along with “Interamente in Acciaio” (stainless steel throughout), “Swiss Movement ETA,” “Modello Depositato” (patented design), “Serie Limitata” (limited series), and a water-resistance notation. The buckle is stamped with a small maker’s mark.
The stainless steel case retains a bright, polished finish with no notable scratching or dullness. The leather strap shows genuine wear consistent with use, including surface cracking and creasing near the buckle holes and along the folds, plus light scuffing at the edges of the crocodile-embossed grain.
