Description
United States one-dollar Silver Certificate, Series 1935F, printed on the classic small-size currency paper with the blue Treasury seal and blue serial numbers. The obverse carries the familiar portrait of George Washington framed by ornate engraved scrollwork, with the certificate text stating that the note is backed by silver on deposit in the U.S. Treasury and is legal tender for all debts, public and private.
The serial number reads Z09016456I, flanked by the printed signatures of Ivy Baker Priest as Treasurer of the United States and Robert B. Anderson as Secretary of the Treasury, standard for notes of this series. The reverse displays the traditional green ONE DOLLAR design with the Great Seal of the United States on one side and the pyramid and eye motif on the other, bordered by dense decorative engraving.
The note shows genuine circulation wear consistent with its age, including light overall toning, soft handling creases and fold lines, and a small spot of discoloration near the top edge. A paper collector tag is affixed to the front for inventory purposes and the note is currently housed in a protective plastic sleeve.
