United States one-dollar Silver Certificate, Series 1935 G, featuring the portrait of George Washington centered on the obverse within an ornate engraved frame. The blue Treasury seal and blue serial numbers identify it as a Silver Certificate, with the note stating that silver is payable to the bearer on demand, a hallmark of this mid-20th-century series of U.S. currency.
The note carries the printed signatures of Elizabeth Rudel Smith as Treasurer of the United States and C. Douglas Dillon as Secretary of the Treasury, both standard for this series. The reverse displays the traditional green ONE DOLLAR design with the Great Seal of the United States, including the eagle and the pyramid with the all-seeing eye, flanked by ornamental scrollwork. Matching serial number C78648585J appears twice on the face of the note.
The bill shows honest circulation wear consistent with its age, including soft creasing and fold lines throughout, a few small edge nicks, light surface soiling, and faint toning to the paper.
