AC/DC Open Air 2001 Hockenheimring Concert Poster

Official AC/DC “Open Air 2001” tour poster for the June 10, 2001 Hockenheimring show, featuring the full band lineup, gold lightning-bolt logo, and period broadcast/sponsor branding.

Description

Bold gold lightning-bolt lettering spells out AC/DC across the top third of this black-ground concert poster, promoting the band’s “Open Air 2001” tour date at the Hockenheimring circuit in Germany. Below the logo, all five band members are pictured crouched forward against a spinning-globe backdrop, with Angus Young front and center in his signature schoolboy uniform. Show details run along the bottom in bold white type: Sunday, June 10, 2001, 5:00 PM start, plus two special guests.

The sheet carries a full run of period broadcast and sponsor branding, including RTL, MTV Music Television, and VH-1 logos across the top, plus an SWR3 radio tag line (“Mehr Hits. Mehr Kicks. Einfach SWR3”) near the bottom. Record label marks for Elektra and eastwest appear alongside a small inset reproduction of the Stiff Upper Lip album cover and a cartoon gnome graphic reading “Schluss mit Kasper-Mucke.” Ticket and promoter information is printed in fine white text, listing eventim.de and konzert-highlights.de as sales points along with CoCo Tours, SKS Russ GmbH, GDS Entertainment, and Shooter Promotions/Classics GmbH as organizers.

The poster is a single printed sheet and shows a diagonal crease with a small tear at the lower left edge, near the venue text. The remainder of the sheet lies flat with strong, unfaded color and crisp text throughout. Black rounded clips visible in the photographs are mounting hardware used to hang the poster for display and are not part of the printed item.
