Description
Crafted in 14K yellow gold, this substantial signet-style ring is set with a genuine 1945 Mexican Dos Pesos gold coin as its centerpiece. The coin face displays the Mexican eagle perched on a serpent-entwined cactus with “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS” encircling the design, while the reverse bears the denomination “DOS PESOS” and the 1945 date within a laurel wreath. The coin is bezel-set into a wide, rounded polished band, giving the piece real heft and presence on the hand.
The interior of the shank is stamped “MR 14K,” confirming the gold content of the mounting. The coin itself, being a genuine 1945 Mexican gold issue, carries its own intrinsic gold value in addition to the ring’s mounting weight. The band tapers smoothly from a broad shoulder at the coin bezel down to a comfortable rounded profile at the base.
The ring shows light surface scratching consistent with age and wear, most visible on the polished shank, along with expected patina and darkening in the recessed areas around the coin’s edge. The coin face itself retains crisp, legible detail in the eagle, lettering, and denomination text.
