Description
United States one-dollar Silver Certificate from the small-size currency era, printed with the blue Treasury seal and blue serial numbers that distinguish Silver Certificates from Federal Reserve Notes. The obverse carries the familiar portrait of George Washington in an oval frame, while the reverse is printed in green ink featuring the Great Seal of the United States on one side and the pyramid and eye motif on the other, both wrapped in the ornate scrollwork typical of this note type.
The note is marked “Series 1935G” and reads “Washington D.C.” beneath the Treasury seal, with the printed signatures of the Treasurer of the United States and the Secretary of the Treasury appearing in the lower portion of the face. The serial number D 70673007 J appears in blue ink at upper right and lower left, and the note carries the standard legal tender clause guaranteeing redemption in silver on demand.
The note is circulated and shows genuine handling wear consistent with its age, including light soiling, visible creasing and fold lines across the paper, and softened corners. No tears, holes, or writing are present on the note itself.
