Description
Bold and graphic, this framed screenprint depicts a smiling bearded man wearing a pink patterned bandana, rendered in loose ink linework over a warm orange-to-yellow gradient background. The piece is numbered 216/600 in pencil at the lower left, titled “Somebody Else” in the center, and signed “Ronnie” at the lower right. Signature/marking present as shown; attribution not verified. Inquire for details. Item includes accompanying documentation; documentation has not been verified by a recognized authentication body and should not be relied upon as proof of authorship.
The print is a screenprint dated 1992 from a suite titled “Slide on This,” with an edition size of 600 plus 60 artist’s proofs and 30 publisher’s proofs, according to an accompanying Certificate of Authenticity from the San Francisco Art Exchange taped to the backing board. That certificate notes the print was executed by the Retigraphic Society workshop in England and states the printing plate has since been destroyed. The work is double-matted in pink and white beneath a black wood frame, glazed, and fitted with wire hanging hardware on the back.
The frame and glass are clean and presentable with no notable damage, chips, or cracks observed. The mat shows even, unfaded tone throughout, and the print itself displays crisp color separation with no visible foxing, staining, or creasing. The certificate of authenticity on the reverse shows light handling wear consistent with age, including some yellowing at the tape edges.
