Description
Graphite pencil portrait depicting the two lead members of the rock band Heart, rendered in fine cross-hatched detail capturing their long layered hair and direct gazes. A hand-colored heart shape in red pen containing the word “Heart” sits in the lower left corner, and red-ink signatures reading “Ann Wilson” and “Nancy Wilson” appear beneath the respective portraits. Signature/marking present as shown; attribution not verified. Inquire for details.
The drawing is signed and dated in pencil “Kirkman ’81” by the artist, lower left, identifying it as a work from 1981. The piece is presented on cream-toned paper, double-matted in bright red, and set behind glass in a wood frame with a routed, natural-finish profile. The framed piece measures approximately 25 by 22 inches, and the back retains its original kraft-paper dust cover with a braided wire hanger strung between two eyelets.
The paper shows scattered light foxing and age spotting consistent with its early 1980s date, and the red mat has minor surface soiling in spots. The wood frame has small edge nicks and a chip at one corner, along with light general wear to the finish. The kraft paper backing shows two small punctures and some edge fraying, with no losses affecting the drawing itself.
