Description
United States one-dollar Silver Certificate, Series 1935F, printed with the blue Treasury seal that identifies it as redeemable in silver rather than a Federal Reserve Note. The obverse carries the familiar portrait of George Washington framed in an ornate oval, with the serial number A96108028J printed in blue at upper right and lower left.
The note carries the printed signatures of Ivy Baker Priest, Treasurer of the United States, and Robert B. Anderson, Secretary of the Treasury, along with the Washington, D.C. district designation beneath the blue seal. The reverse displays the standard green Great Seal design, including the pyramid with the “Annuit Coeptis” and “Novus Ordo Seclorum” mottos on the left and the eagle and shield on the right, both set within the traditional green ornamental border.
The note shows typical circulated wear consistent with age and handling, including visible fold lines, soft and slightly rounded corners, and light overall toning to the paper. There is minor surface soiling and a small spot of discoloration near the portrait, along with faint creasing across the note, but no tears, holes, or writing beyond the printed text.
