Description
United States one-dollar Silver Certificate from the 1957 series, printed on the classic cotton-linen currency paper with the portrait of George Washington centered on the obverse. The blue Treasury seal and blue serial numbers identify it as a Silver Certificate rather than a standard Federal Reserve Note, and the note bears the printed statement that it is redeemable in silver on demand.
The face carries the printed signatures of Treasurer Ivy Baker Priest and Secretary of the Treasury Robert B. Anderson, along with the matching serial number I67632493A on both the upper right and lower left. The reverse shows the standard green-ink design featuring the Great Seal of the United States, the pyramid and eye motif with “Annuit Coeptis” and “Novus Ordo Seclorum,” the eagle and shield, and the “In God We Trust” motto.
The note shows honest circulation wear consistent with its age, including a center fold, soft corners, visible surface creasing and light crackling throughout the paper, and overall toning to an ivory tone. No tears, holes, or writing are present beyond the printed elements, and the note remains fully intact and legible.
