United States one-dollar Silver Certificate from Series 1957A, featuring the familiar portrait of George Washington framed by ornate engraved borders. The blue Treasury seal and blue serial numbers identify it as a Silver Certificate, once redeemable in silver coin, with the note stating it is legal tender for all debts, public and private.
The serial number Q27813209A appears twice on the face, alongside the printed signatures of Elizabeth Rudel Smith, Treasurer of the United States, and C. Douglas Dillon, Secretary of the Treasury. The reverse carries the standard green ONE DOLLAR design, including the Great Seal of the United States with the eagle and the pyramid with the all-seeing eye, along with the mottos IN GOD WE TRUST and ANNUIT COEPTIS. The note is currently housed in a clear protective sleeve with a small paper price tag attached.
The paper remains crisp with sharp corners and no folds, tears, or writing visible. Overall the note presents clean and well preserved, with the printing and engraving details still sharp and legible throughout.
