Description
Vintage horror movie one-sheet advertises “The House That Dripped Blood,” the 1971 Amicus anthology horror film released by Cinerama Releasing Corporation. The poster features hand-drawn art of a looming Victorian haunted house under a crescent moon, with four horror vignette stills captioned “Vampires! Voodoo! Vixens! Victims!” above the bold red title treatment and a striking image of a woman holding a platter bearing a man’s severed head. The film starred Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Denholm Elliott, Jon Pertwee, and Ingrid Pitt, and was based on stories by Robert Bloch, author of “Psycho.”
Printed details include the Cinerama Releasing Corporation copyright line dated 1971, full billing block naming director Peter Duffell and producers Max J. Rosenberg and Milton Subotsky, and the standard National Screen Service Corporation licensing disclaimer along the lower margin. The poster is stamped “LITHO.
