Bold late-1980s rock poster for Jane’s Addiction’s landmark album Nothing’s Shocking, dominated by the album’s now-iconic black-and-white photograph of conjoined nude female figures with flaming plaster hair, seated together in an antique cane rocking chair. The band’s name appears in hand-drawn teal script across the top, with “Nothing’s Shocking” set in bold white block lettering along the bottom edge of the sheet.
The poster is printed on a single sheet of glossy paper stock with a thin maroon pinstripe running down the right-hand border against the black background of the photograph. Small print reading “Printed in England” is visible along the lower right corner. Four small circular tack or pin holes are present near each corner, consistent with the poster having been mounted flat on a wall for display.
The sheet shows genuine handling and display wear: cracking and small chip losses along the black border at the top right and bottom right corners, faint creasing running diagonally through the lower right quadrant, and light surface scuffing consistent with age.
